An Update On COVID-19 From Fraser Dental

By March 18, 2020 No Comments

To Our Valued Patients

With COVID-19 now elevated to pandemic status, we wanted to update you on the steps we are taking to prioritise your health and safety here at Fraser Dental.

Health And Safety Measures

We would like to assure you that our sterilisation and infection control processes have always adhered to the strictest New Zealand Dental Association standards. Our long-standing protocols are designed to minimise the risk of any viral or bacterial outbreak, so we are already in the best possible position for staying safe and healthy. Our dental clinic is actually one of the cleanest and safest places to visit because of our rigorous infection control systems and protocols. Our cleaning and sterilising procedures protect our patients from infection to the highest degree possible. In addition, all of our staff are highly trained with an in-depth knowledge of infection control.

We have now increased the already frequent and thorough sanitisation and cleaning of all ‘touch points’, including the reception furniture, front desk, EFTPOS terminals and patient bathroom.

It has always been our policy to actively encourage sick staff members to stay away from work, and our entire team adhere to this rule – no exceptions. This protects our patients, other staff members and everyone they come in to contact with during their workday.

Continuity Of Appointments

Fraser Dental is committed to continuing to provide patient care and treatments without interruption. We are working closely with the NZDA to ensure we have adequate supplies of all necessary products. So, rest assured it is business as usual!

Patient Health

We request that patients who are sick do not come into the dental clinic. Instead, please phone us to reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling better. This includes a runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever or aches.

We are constantly monitoring and heeding the advice issued by the Ministry of Health and the New Zealand Dental Association. With circumstances evolving daily, we place great importance on staying as informed as possible from the most reliable sources. This ensures we are in the best possible position to continue to protect the safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff members.

If you have any questions or concerns for us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards

Dr Alex McIntosh and Dr Milan Raniga
